Trail starts straight back from top of parish hill. Or you can start to the left of the top of th hill. When finished cross over road up into woods trail continues for another couple miles. It will end down near dog park and you can take the road back, you will have to bike up parish hill to get back to you car or if you park at football field, you can pick up trail along left side of road that runs next to bike shop. I like to park across from the ice rink next to the olympic shelter and the trail begins right behind the shelter up the hill. Follow the red/blue blaze for 6 miles of awesome mountain biking. The trail ends at the confluence and you can just bike back the the skating rink parking about two miles down pierce mill roadAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1864174327406288240.post-21930064490143320412012-07-10T15:52:55.162-04:002012-07-10T15:52:55.162-04:00Download the trail maps. They are extremely easy ...Download the trail maps. They are extremely easy to follow. Basically three great areas to ride. For an easier, more beginner ride with less hills, try riding in the Pie Traynor / pool section of the park. The various trails are blazed on the trees. White with a red, blue or black dot and the solid white lower trail. There is an excellent loop that you can add other trails onto for a short or longer ride.
The North Ridge trail is the best XC trail in the park. Roughly 6.5 miles long with the new Phundstein section. Again, the map is extremely easy and most of the trail minus the Phunstein part is blazed on the trees.
Lastly the orange / green trails up and around the golf course are great as well.
Lastly, there is a purple and black trail from behind Koto Buki that is fun and brings you from the pool area back down to the lake.
Props to PTAG for the trail maintenance and trail blazing.Gusnoreply@blogger.com
